Albion match-winner Alex Revell declared today: Bring on Leeds'.

Revell's second goal of the season earned the in-form Seagulls victory at struggling Port Vale to set them up for Saturday's glamour clash at Withdean.

The former Braintree striker, celebrating the end of a nine-match famine, said: "It's a great feeling because I've had some chances recently but I think the way I have been playing has warranted staying in the side.

"People have different opinions about who should play but the gaffer played me again and hopefully I've rewarded him.

"It was hard-fought and probably a game we would have lost last year. It was the biggest battling performance of the season and to come away with a win was massive.

"All the boys are buzzing and we cannot wait for Leeds now. I don't think we could be going into the game with a better preparation. We are five matches unbeaten and defensivley we look solid. As a team we are looking strong and hopefully after Saturday it will be six matches on the bounce without losing."

Albion's victory at Vale Park lifted them to eighth in the table, three points better off than Leeds in 12th. Seb Carole, the Seagulls' former French winger, preserved the Yorkshiremen's undefeated record this season with an equaliser against Leyton Orient on Saturday.

That pleased Albion boss Dean Wilkins. He said: "We want to be the first side that beats them."

They will have to do it without Dean Cox, who is suspended after collecting his fifth caution against Vale.

Substitute Nathan Elder, provider of Revell's goal, features in the reserves away to Charlton tonight (7pm).

Albion (probable): Sullivan; Hart, Pearson, Mayo, Rents; Brinkhurst, Wills, Loft, French; Elder, Louis.

Subs: Pelling, Beda, Bryant, Ide.
