Therry Racon will consider a permanent move to Albion if Charlton decide to sell him.

The on-loan French midfielder has been frustrated by a lack of opportunities with the Championship club in his first season in England.

Racon plays his sixth game in three weeks for the Seagulls at Luton tomorrow. He has made only six appearances for Charlton since signing at the start of the season and has not featured for them since Boxing Day.

"I have got three years left on my contract after this season," said Racon. "I don't know what is happening because I haven't spoken with the gaffer at Charlton (Alan Pardew).

"It's been a big disappointment. When I signed for Charlton it was to play and help the club to promotion. I haven't really had a chance but when I've played I think I've played well. I hope I will be playing next season."

Asked about the possibility of joining Albion for good, Racon said: "Why not? I'm 23, almost 24, so I have to play. I cannot stay on the bench or play for the reserves.

"I did not come to England to play in League One but I have to play, so it doesn't matter now if it is League One. It's good here. I've played a lot of games quickly and when you play you are always happy."

A stumbling block for Albion could be the fee. Charlton will want to recoup a large part of the £400,000 fee they paid for the former Marseille trainee.

The Seagulls are already busy planning for next season, with their play-off challenge effectively over following defeats by Port Vale and Southend.

Chief scout Barry Lloyd will be in Denmark at the weekend, searching for a centre half.

Do you think Therry Racon would be a good signing?
