Defender Dean Leacock insists Crawley’s players remain 100% behind manager John Gregory.

Gregory has come under fire recently after a series of poor performances which saw Reds crash out of two cup competitions and slip down the League One table.

A section of supporters had called for Gregory to be sacked during the 2-1 defeat to ten-man Gillingham last Tuesday but Leacock is convinced he is the right person to take Crawley forward.

Leacock said: “Everyone is behind the gaffer. I don’t know why people say he is under pressure because I think he is doing a great job. “The last couple of results haven’t been great but we are 15th in the league and not too far behind the teams above us.

“I understand the cups are a big thing for a team like Crawley but staying in this division is the important thing for us and the gaffer is going about things the right way.

“I am right behind him and I know that everyone in the dressing room is right behind him too. My message would be to let him get on with it.

“We will move forward together and take the criticism together along with the manager as that is part of being a team.”
