Dean Saunders will turn his attention to other areas of the squad after solving his goalkeeping dilemma.

The new Reds boss yesterday brought back Crystal Palace goalkeeper Lewis Price on loan for the rest of the season.

Crawley were without an experienced stopper after Brian Jensen dislocated a thumb in the 2-2 draw with MK Dons last weekend.

Brazilian Evandro Rachoni de Lima played in the 6-1 Sussex Senior Cup thrashing at Whitehawk in midweek after signing non-contract forms. Rachoni de Lima has remained with the squad for today’s trip to Rochdale despite interest from Peterborough.

But Saunders wanted to bring in a goalkeeper as first choice and yesterday agreed a deal with Palace to take Price for the remainder of the campaign.

The Wales international made four appearances after initially joining the Reds in November.

Although then manager John Gregory wanted to keep him, Price returned to parent club Crystal Palace following the 2-1 defeat at home to Port Vale on December 20.

The vastly experienced Jensen took over in goal for the Christmas games against Leyton Orient and Colchester before being injured last Saturday.

Price will be in the team at Rochdale today alongside fellow new signing Anthony Wordsworth, who arrived on loan from Ipswich on Thursday.
