Dean Saunders has warned Crawley still have work to do to avoid relegation despite an excellent 1-0 win at home to fellow strugglers Leyton Orient.

This was a third victory in eight days for the Reds and lifted them out of the League One drop zone.

But they are still seven points short of the 50-point margin Saunders says is needed for safety.

Saunders said: “It was against a really good team. I don’t think they will be in the bottom four at the end of the season. It was a big win for us and also caused them a bit of damage.

“That sort of result for them can damage their morale as well so they will find it hard to lift themselves but they have some really good players and it is a great result.

“Nine points in a week – the players have done magnificently. I kept the same team so the same players have done it, apart from Brian Jensen who came on to play his part.

“We are not out of trouble yet. On we go with Gillingham and we have got to do it again.”
