Crawley boss Dean Saunders has made four changes for today’s crunch clash away to League One relegation rivals Crewe.

Gwion Edwards, Mathias Pogba, Lanre Oyebanjo and Dean Leacock all return to the starting line-up.

Ryan Dickson, Lewis Young and Marvin Elliott drop to the bench while centre-back Darren Ward is ruled out by a heel injury.

Wales under-21 international Edwards is recalled after five games on the bench while centre-back Leacock returns after being ruled out since Boxing Day with a groin injury.

Right-back Oyebanjo did well after replacing Young at half-time in the 2-1 defeat at home to Gillingham last Saturday so his selection is not a surprise.

Saunders, meanwhile, has opted for the power of Pogba in attack. The former Crewe striker was an unused substitute against Gillingham after feeling a hamstring twinge in training the day before the game.

Brian Jensen retains his place in goal despite the fact Lewis Price has fully recovered from concussion suffered against Leyton Orient 13 days ago.

Bobson Bawling drops out of the squad altogether.

Crewe have dropped Callum Saunders, son of Crawley boss Dean, from their matchday squad.

Crawley: Jensen; Oyebanjo, Leacock, Wood, Bradley; Tomlin, Fowler, Wordsworth, Edwards; Pogba; McLeod. Subs: Dickson, Smith, Morgan, Young, Cofie, Elliott, Price.

Crewe: Rachubka; Turton, Davis, Tate, Leigh; Atkinson, Grant; Ness; Dalla Valle, Ikpeazu, Ajose. Subs: Guthrie, Ray, Inman, Jones, Haber, Colclough, Stewart.
