Boss Mark Yates admitted Crawley Town are lacking a cutting edge after they went down 1-0 to Yeovil Town at home.

Reds did not have a single effort on target in a match settled by Harry Cornick’s superb 25-yard strike in the first half.

Crawley have now scored just once in four home games this season and have found the net only five times in total.

Yates said: “I can understand the frustrations of a few supporters and I’m not going to say it was a good performance.

“We huffed and puffed but we didn’t work their goalkeeper at all which sums us up at the moment.

“We had plenty of possession but no real cutting edge. We need players to be desperate to smash the ball in the back of the net.”
