Mark Yates will be wary of a familiar face when Crawley play Dagenham today.

Jamie Cureton scored 11 goals for Yates at Cheltenham two seasons ago and now leads the attack for Daggers.

The Reds boss said: “He’s a livewire, he’s a goalscorer and that is obviously a worrying thing for the opposition.

“He’s a really good pro. He has always looked after himself but he has started looking after himself really, really well as he has got a little older.

“Fair play to him. To be still going strong at 40 is commendable.”

Meanwhile skipper Sonny Bradley hopes to see Reds back to their old selves.

He said: “In the last two games, there’s no two ways about it – we haven’t been at it.

“That’s not who we are, the last two performances haven’t been good enough.

“We have to put that right and show we have come a long way already as a team.”

Luke Rooney and Ross Jenkins are in contention to replace midfielder Simon Walton, who serves a one-match ban, while Dagenham could make changes of personnel and formation.
