Crawley Town boss Mark Yates has made sweeping changes for tonight’s clash with Newport County.

Yates branded his team “pathetic” after the 2-0 defeat at Leyton Orient and has reacted by dropping six players who started at Brisbane Road.

In come Frankie Sutherland and Charles Dunne ¬– signed on loan from Blackpool today – for their debuts while Lyle Della Verde makes his first start.

There is also a first appearance of an injury-blighted season for right-back Lanre Oyabanjo while Shamir Fenelon and Matt Harrold are both promoted from the bench.

Josh Yorwerth, Gavin Tomlin, Lee Barnard, Roarie Deacon and Bobson Bawling all drop to the bench while Chris Atkinson is not included in the matchday squad.

The return of Oyebanjo together with the arrival of Dunne means Yates will also revert from a 3-5-2 line-up to a traditional 4-4-2.

Crawley (4-4-2): Jones; Oyebanjo, Ashton, Bradley, Dunne; Della Verde, Bond, Sutherland, Fenelon; Edwards, Harrold. Subs: Preston, Barnard, Bawling, Deacon, Tomlin, Young, Yorwerth.
