Crawley Town have signed midfielder Aryan Tajbakhsh on a one-year contract with a year’s option.
The 25-year-old has made a good impression during pre-season on head coach Dermot Drummy.
Tajbakhsh has been handed his chance after a career spent in non-league football with clubs including Braintree Town, Aylesbury, Enfield and Cray Wanderers.
Reds chief Drummy said: "Aryan has been with us for pre-season and we think he is someone capable of stepping up and competing for a place in the squad at League Two level.
"He's very good technically and has worked hard during pre-season to impress. This is a big opportunity for him to kick on in his career. He is desperate to do well and now has that chance."
