Chris Liddle has committed his future to Sussex until 2015.

The left-arm seamer has agreed a new two-year deal after another impressive season in limited overs cricket.

Liddle, 29, was Sussex's leading wicket-taker in both T20 and 40-over cricket for the third year in a row last season.

Liddle said: "I’m delighted to have signed for another two years with Sussex. I’ve had a good last couple of seasons, particularly in Twenty20 and I’m determined to continue that form and hopefully help the team progress further.

“We want to be challenging for trophies every season in all formats of the game and I want to keep contributing by taking wickets and helping the team win matches”.

Liddle is the fifth player to sign a new deal at Sussex since the end of the season along with James Anyon, Harry Finch, Callum Jackson and Matt Machan.

A further five players - Matt Prior, Amjad Khan, Lewis Hatchett, Steve Magoffin and Michael Rippon - have yet to have their futures confirmed while Joe Gatting and Andy Miller have been released.

Sussex coach Mark Robinson said: "Lids is one of the best one-day bowlers in the country and he is also very determined to break through into the four-day team. It is that type of hunger to improve and deliver that always excites the coaches”.
