Sussex all-rounder Chris Jordan has been named in the England squad for three Twenty20 internationals against Pakistan in the UAE this winter.

However, Jordan – who has not played for his country since suffering a side strain in a ODI against New Zealand at the Oval in June – missed out on a place in the Test and ODI squads.

Nottinghamshire batsman Alex Hales and Surrey spinner Zafar Ansari have been included in the Test squad for the first time while James Taylor has also won a recall three years after his solitary cap.

Cuckfield-born batsman James Vince retains his place in the T20 squad which also features Lancashire spinner Stephen Parry. All-rounder Ben Stokes will only play Tests in the UAE.

Meanwhile, Mahela Jayawardene – who played for Sussex in the NatWest T20 Blast this summer – will take on the role of batting consultant for the Test squad with Paul Collingwood working with the limited overs teams.
