Sussex went down to only their second defeat in 18 Twenty20 games as they lost by seven wickets against Somerset at Taunton.
The Sharks had got off to a flying start after being put in to bat with Matt Prior smashing 36 off just 13 balls.
Prior's departure sparked a dramatic collapse though as Sussex went from 62-1 to 67-6 with Dwayne Smith, Joe Gatting and Andy Hodd all failing.
Chris Nash and Yasir Arafat repaired some of the damage with a partnership of 47 but Nash was left high and dry on 44 not out as Sussex were dismissed for 159 with an over remaining.
Chad Keegan gave Sussex a glimmer of hope with the wicket of Nick Compton in the first over but a 90 partnership between Marcus Trescothick and Peter Trego put Somerset on course for victory.
Trescothick fell for 50 and Trego 41 but James Hildreth and Zander de Bruyn finished the job with a partnership of 60.
