Luke Wright put his England team-mate Matt Prior in the shade as Sussex Sharks romped to a nine-wicket win over Middlesex Panthers at Hove.
Prior was making his first appearance for Sussex this season but was the only wicket to fall as the Sharks comfortably chased a target of 124 to win with 17 overs to spare.
Wright also took 2-26 as Middlesex failed to recover after losing four early wickets to the new ball pairing of Chris Liddle and Naved Arif.
Gareth Berg was the only batsman to pose any resistance with 52 as he put on 51 with Ben Scott but Rana Naved took three wickets as Middlesex lost their last five wickets for just 16 runs.
Prior opened the Sussex innings but was unhappy to be given out lbw in the second over to England team-mate Steve Finn.
Ed Joyce and Wright safely saw Sussex home though with Wright smashing 71 off 68 balls with 11 fours and one six and Joyce finishing unbeaten on 47.
