Skipper Mike Yardy makes his Championship comeback in today's televised clash with Nottinghamshire at Hove.
Yardy has missed the opening four division one matches after returning early from the World Cup due to depression.
He was not even named in the initial squad for this match but has decided he is ready for four-day cricket after successfully coming through two CB40 games.
Yardy has already won the toss this morning and elected to bat with his inclusion alongside Matt Prior giving Sussex a strong looking batting line-up.
Ben Brown and Andrew Hodd are the men to drop out.
Amjad Khan has also recovered from injury and replaces Naved Arif.
Notts feature Ashes heroes Graeme Swann and Stuart Broad.
