Lewes have concerns over right-back Henry Muggeridge after he was carried off in tonight’s 2-1 home defeat to Canvey Island in the Ryman League premier division.
Muggeridge suffered a blow to the knee as he was fouled by Steve Smith, who was sent off on 50 minutes.
Danny Bloor, of Rooks’ managerial team, said: “It was a terrible tackle.”
Former Tranmere striker Enoch Showunmi put Canvey ahead on half-time.
Tom Davis levelled on 77 minutes with a super strike but George Sykes won it for the Essex side on 85 minutes.
Bloor added: “It was the biggest travesty you’ll see. How we lost I just don’t know.”
Rooks had plenty of chances and Nicky Wheeler hit the post.
Peacehaven lost 4-0 at home to Leiston.
