A Ben Pope double helped Worthing to a 4-2 victory at Chipstead tonight in Ryman south and into a play-off spot.

The Rebels climbed a place into fifth position.

Pope struck after 37 minutes and also added a penalty before the hour mark while Lloyd Dawes and Harvey Sparks were also on target for Adam Hinshelwood's Rebels.

Sam MacVicar’s liking for late goals was evident again as Three Bridges won 2-1 against visitors Ramsgate.

Lee Carney gave Bridges a 17th-minute lead and MacVicar, who scored an injury time leveller at Hastings last Saturday, added the second for Paul Faili’s side in the 88th minute before the Rams pulled one back through Tom Chapman in added time.

There was agony for Horsham as they were beaten 2-1 by a 90th-minute goal at promotion chasing Merstham.

The Hornets went behind two minutes before the break to a Tommy Hutchings goal struck home from the edge of the box.

Bailo Camara brought the visitors level in the 67th minute with a glancing header from a Tony Nwachukwu delivery.

Anthony Storey’s side were unable to hang on for a point, though, as Omar Folkes grabbed the late winner for the third-placed outfit.
