Eastbourne Borough ended their long wait for a win as a solitary goal from Liam Enver-Marum earned them a narrow victory at Welling United.
Enver-Marum struck in the 20th minute to give Borough their first win since September 22 - 14 games ago.
It was also their first clean sheet since September 5 although they were hanging on a bit at the end.
Borough had just edged the first half and got their reward in the 20th minute when Enver-Marum was sent through by Dan Smith. His initial shot was saved by Charlie Mitten and the Welling keeper also clawed away the follow up but Enver-Marum forced the ball over the line at the third time of asking.
Welling should have equalised seven minutes later buut Graeme Andrews blazed over from seven yards and that turned out to be the home side's only real chance of the first half.
Borough could have gained the luxury of a second goal but Enver-Marum's shot was saved at the near post by Mitten.
Welling turned up the pressure in the secnd half but Borough were able to stand firm.
Danny Knowles made a good save at full stretch to turn Andy Pugh's shot around a post and then did well to push away a 35-yard effort from Michael Deane.
Borough were forced further and further back but did have chances on the break. Neil Jenkins' 25 yard strike was saved by Mitten while Jamie Taylor headed wide from Smith's cross.
