Goalscoring midfielder Jack Dixon has left Lewes to sign for Ryman premier rivals Dulwich Hamlet.
The former Hastings man finished top scorer for the Rooks last season with 19 goals and currently jointly tops the goals chart with five along with Luke Blewden this season.
He is currently halfway through a four-match suspension but has decided to join Dulwich.
Manager Garry Wilson said: “I’m surprised that Jack is going there but we only want players here who want to play for us.”
The Rooks are looking at a possible defensive recruit ahead of tomorrow’s Sussex Senior Cup tie at home to Albion’s development squad. Regular centre-back Gary Elphick could be out for up to eight weeks after having an operation on his broken wrist yesterday.
