Lewes are expecting more changes in personnel as they look to cause an upset away to Oxford City in the FA Trophy.

Their hosts are currently sixth in Conference north and have won their last two league matches.

The Rooks won through by beating lower league Heybridge Swifts on Tuesday but are expected to be missing Nathan Crabb (ribs) and Josh Marshall (thigh) who limped off in that game.

Chris Breach is ineligible but fellow recent signing Dean Lovegrove comes back into the squad after not being registered in time for the midweek replay.

Matt Crabb could return after a knee operation, younger brother Sam Crabb also hopes to play after missing out in midweek with a hamstring problem and James Stinson, who has been unavailable for the last two games, comes back into the squad.

Assistant-manager Danny Bloor believes Lewes should be confident going into the game.

He said: “It was a tough ask to go to Heybridge on a Tuesday night but we played really well and the scoreline flattered them. On another day it could have been five or 6-1.

“We were the favourites to beat Heybridge and we were the favourites to beat Harlow in the last round. Tomorrow we go there as underdogs to play a good footballing side who are right up there in Conference north. But if we set up right there is every opportunity for us to cause an upset.”

Skipper Jack Walder has started training again, having played just once this season since fracturing an ankle last April.

Gary Elphick is soon to start running again after his wrist operation, although he is not expected to return until the new year, while Henry Muggeridge has featured in the last two games as a substitute after recovering from his fractured ankle.
