Superstar cyclist Mark Cavendish will ride in the Tour of Britain next month.
It means he will be racing through Sussex on Saturday, September 13 when the stage finishes in Brighton.
Sir Bradley Wiggins has already confirmed his entry for the Tour.
Sprint ace Cavendish will first travel to western France to ride in the Tour du Poitou Charentes from August 26-29.
He will then race the Tour of Britain from September 7-14, which may be his final event of the season.
Cavendish spent much of the summer recovering from a dislocated collarbone suffered in a crash at the end of the Tour de France’s stage one in Harrogate.
