Caretaker boss John Yems has urged Crawley's young players to keep their discipline.

Lee Blackburn was shown a straight red card for a tackle which sparked a mass brawl at the end of Reds' 3-1 home win against Forest Green Rovers.

He had only just returned from a one-match suspension after picking up five yellow cards.

Fellow midfielder Scott Marshall was dismissed in the first half against Gravesend two weeks ago, a fortnight after being sent off for two bookable offences at Aldershot within six minutes of coming on as a late substitute.

Blackburn will now serve a three-match ban, starting with Saturday's vital trip to relegation rivals St Albans.

Yems said: "There is no doubt in my mind that he deserved to go for that tackle and you will have to ask him why he did it.

"We will have to sit down and chat with him this week and do extra work with him. We are telling boys to go out and win every tackle but when things like that happen, they need to keep their discipline."

Crawley's trip to Halifax on February 24 will be rescheduled after the Shaymen progressed in the FA Trophy.
