Heather Watson narrowly missed out on becoming the first British women's finalist at Eastbourne for 41 years.

The domestic No.3 lost her semi-final against 2009 champion Caroline Wozniacki at Devonshire Park today.

The Dane won 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 in 2hrs 9mins to progress to her first grass court final since winning the Aegon International eight years ago.

The last Brit to reach the final was Virginia Wade in 1976.

Wozniacki's opponent in tomorrow's final is world No.3 Karolina Pliskova, given a walkover by Johanna Konta's injury withdrawal.
