Boxing legend Barry McGuigan believes Ross Minter can cause an upset and beat world champion Michael Jennings on Saturday night.
McGuigan, the brilliant former WBA world featherweight champion, was Minter's team captain for the UK versus USA Contender Challenge.
Jennings is a hot favourite to retain his welterweight crown at the ExCel Arena in London But McGuigan says Minter has the skill and determination to cause a shock despite not fighting since an agonising defeat against Freddie Curiel in March of last year during the Contender Challenge.
McGuigan, now a pundit for ITV, said: "It is a tough comeback fight for Ross especially as he has not fought since his Contender fight.
"Jennings is quick, fast-handed and boxes off the back foot.
"He also seems to be in good form but it is not beyond Ross by any means, if he has been having good sparring and got himself together.
"Ross could box very well and cause an upset.
"He has got the tenacity and the type of fitness that is needed."
