Duncan Jupp wants to stay at Nyewood Lane for the rest of the season to help Bognor avoid the drop.

Jupp joined the Rocks from Gillingham at the start of January on a short-term deal which was due to end after tomorrow's clash with Lewes at the Dripping Pan.

The 33-year-old, who played in the Premier League for Wimbledon, had been expected to return to full-time football when his temporary spell at Bognor expired but now says he is keen to stay.

Joint boss Michael Birmingham said: "Duncan came to me last week and said he is really enjoying himself and would like to stay until the summer.

"He likes the set-up and gets on really well with the rest of the lads so we'll sit down after tomorrow's game and try to sort something out.

"He has done really well in the short time he has been with us and it would be a big boost to have someone of his pedigree for the rest of the campaign."

Jodey Rowland completes a three-match ban tomorrow but Dan Beck is available to return to the starting line-up after having the cast on his hand removed on Wednesday.
