Worthing Thunder will look to work room for James Mooney as they bid for some cup revenge.

Thunder, beaten by Manchester Magic in the National Cup final recently, tackle the same opponents at Worthing Leisure Centre in the National Trophy semis on Sunday (5pm).

Magic did a great job of denying Mooney three-point opportunities in the final but Thunder coach Gary Smith hopes that can change.

Smith said: "Manchester did a good job of closing him down in the final. Obviously we are hoping Demetrius (Scott) is somewhere near full fitness this time as we missed his explosiveness in the final.

"Our English guys have done well this year and stepped up when needed "I personally think this is a battle between the two deepest teams this year and I'm looking forward to it."

Thunder host unpredictable Derby Trailblazers in the league on Saturday (8pm). Derby tested the champions early in the season and Smith warned: "They will be thinking about victory.

"We are not playing our best basketball right about now, so we will have to dig deep."
