Burgess Hill face a race against time to include new Romanian striker Adrian Patulea for his debut at home to high-flying Tooting and Mitcham tomorrow.
The Hillians are waiting on international clearance for Patulea, who was recommended by Lewes manager Steven King after training with the Rooks.
Patulea watched Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Walton and Hersham when Steve Harper hit a stoppage-time equaliser.
Eastbourne Town secured their third successive victory thanks to a scouting report.
Town overcame hosts Chatham 2-1 as defender Ben Putland hit the winner after Shane Suter had cancelled out a Luke Denton effort for the visitors.
Manager Ady Colwell said: "We had a scout at a recent Chatham game and he told us how they were slow to come out of defence so we hoisted a quick ball back in after a corner had been cleared and Ben reacted first."
Horsham YMCA go to leaders Dover tonight in need of a confidence boost.
Second-bottom YM suffered a 2-0 defeat at relegation rivals Whitstable and manger John Suter said: "The players are good enough to get us out of trouble but need a huge injection of confidence."
