Seaford boss Duncan Kneller has targeted four points from the next two games to secure safety from County League division two relegation.

Town were anxiously looking over their shoulder a few weeks ago after an eight game winless run left them hovering above the drop-zone.

But Kneller is now looking up rather than down after a Chris Stanyard strike gave Seaford a third straight 1-0 win over Crawley Down.

He said: "We have Southwick and Sidlesham in our next two games and I would say that if we get four points from those, we will be okay.

"We have been underachieving this year but we have been so unlucky with injuries and suspensions. The difference in the last couple of weeks is that we have had everyone available and have named a settled side."

Bottom club Pease Pottage recovered from the 7-0 drubbing of the previous week to hold Peacehaven to a 1-1 draw. They took an early lead through Jack McNab, before Richard Watton equalised from the penalty spot.

Southwick took a valuable point in their bid to beat the drop after extending their unbeaten run to five games with a goalless draw against leaders East Grinstead.

New Broadbridge Heath manager Sam Champman could not stop his side slipping further into trouble after suffering their eighth straight defeat against Littlehampton. Striker Howard Neighbour, who is wanted by Arundel, netted in each half in a 2-0 victory.

Second-placed Lingfield closed the gap at the top to three points after Danny Gillard clinched a 1-0 win over Sidlesham.

Promotion-chasing Rustington dropped points in a 1-1 draw against Midhurst after going ahead through Terry Withers. Gary Norgate scored the equaliser just before half-time.

A hat-trick from Dominic Clarke and a Duncan Jones strike gave Westfield a 4-2 win over Storrington.

Paul Schofield levelled for Steyning in a 1-1 draw against Wealden, who went ahead through a Darren Gearing penalty.

Tonight's division two cup semi-final between Peacehaven and Littlehampton has been moved to Worthing United's Robert Albon Memorial Ground (7.45pm).
