Sussex batsman Mike Yardy was finally out for 169 on the second day of England A's Duleep Trophy match against West Zone in Rajkot today.
His departure sparked a collapse as England A slumped from 322-5 to 355 all out.
Yardy, who was 151 overnight, added 18 before he was bowled by left-armer Sandeep Jobanputra in the 13th over of the day, having faced 325 balls and hit 23 fours. He batted for six hours, 432 minutes - a monumental physical and mental effort in the Indian heat.
In reply, West Zone were 187-1 at the close. England only have to draw the four-day game to become the first touring team to reach the Duleep Trophy final.
