Two Goals in the last seven minutes saw Worthing snatch a crucial 2-1 victory at basement side Crowborough in Ryman divison one south.
Will Jenkins headed in the winner in the final minutes after Ross Treleaven had cancelled out Drew Crush’s excellent volley.
Crows boss Stuart Nowell applauded a “fantastic” display by his side while Worthing co-boss Danny Bloor was just relieved to grind out the three points to keep their promotion push on track.
Nowell said: “I told the players after the game that despite the result, nothing should detract from their performance as we really competed with a good team.”
