Sussex football is mourning the loss of Ken Powell.
A former Whitehawk chairman and player, Ken died late on Tuesday night after suffering a heart attack last weekend.
His father, Ron, was one of the founder members of Whitehawk and Ken was involved with the club since his childhood. He went on to play more than 1,000 for the Hawks before a long stint as chairman and he remained the club's patron until his death.
He was also a member of the Sussex County League management committee since 1979.
