Hastings United have made their first signings of the summer with the capture of Anthony Storey and Jamie Cade.
The pair were at United’s Ryman premier rivals Tonbridge Angels last season.
Storey joins up with boss Tony Dolby for a second time after he took the midfielder to Longmead from Lewes in 2007.
Striker Cade, 26, is also a former Rooks player and counts Crawley Town among his former clubs.
Dolby said: “They will be big assets for the club. We want to try to improve our squad and by getting in these players we have done that.
“I took Anthony to Tonbridge from Lewes so know plenty about him while I have watched Jamie with Lewes and at Tonbridge and he scored against us for them last season. He’s a versatile player, energetic and with a good attitude. Both of them will help us immensely.”
Dolby expects to strengthen his squad further in the next few weeks as he prepares to mount another promotion challenge.
