A header by Ashley-Paul Robinson in the second period of extra-time took Eastbourne Town to a 2-1 victory over VCD Athletic in their FA Cup preliminary round replay last night.
The visitors took the lead but striker Evan Archibald levelled for Town at The Saffrons.
Former Crystal Palace striker Robinson got the crucial winner which books Town a Sussex derby against Burgess Hill in the next round next Saturday.
Result – County League division three: Newhaven 0, Hurstpierpoint 3 (Walsh 4, Peacock 29, Richie 76).
