Simon Rowland is being groomed as the next manager of Burgess Hill.
The 31-year-old former Hastings United player has stepped down as boss of AFC Uckfield after leading them to the County League division two title and has become assistant-manager at Leylands Park.
Rowland replaces Andy Gander, who has stepped down, as Gary Croydon’s No. 2. Croydon has also revealed that he intends Rowland to replace him in the long term.
