Go easy on air rifles

SHOULD air rifles be banned? Absolutely not.

I have owned air guns from the age of 13 and still do at the age of 49. Even though I was accidentally shot in the head in my late teens, I still believe air guns should not be banned.

There will always be a minority of idiots who don’t follow basic common sense, but that applies to all things in life. If a person passes their driving test, but drives around like an idiot, you ban the driver. You don’t take all the cars off the road.

Let’s stop going over the top with these ridiculous suggestions of banning anything that may, in the wrong hands, do harm.

We’re already living in a nanny state. We should deal with the people who don’t follow the rules – not take it out on those who do.

I quite simply CANNOT agree with mr self's comments. As a grown man of 52 now ive had more accidents with air guns then ive had hot dinners at me mums! Myself and teddy have even been to hospital in the last week with injurys including a lost eye, loss of fluff in the lower portions and stress. All because of one thing....air guns!!!
Im calling for an outright ban on these things.....even the lads at work use them and numourous times i've had near misses with them.....*****.
Im sorry if this causes anyone disgust but i myself and teddy have had enough and were fighting back grrrrr (said teddy)
