AN ENRAGED drink driver has been found guilty of the murder and attempted murder of a group of young men in a horror crash.

Iftekhar Khondaker put his foot on the accelerator of his father’s BMW and mowed down Suel Delgado, Azaan Khan, and Raja Zakir Khan in Brighton.

The 40mph crash caused the death of Mr Delgado, 20, and left the other young men with life changing injuries.

After 16 hours a jury found 34-year-old Khondaker guilty of murder and attempted murder.

He had claimed he did not see the men walking away down the road and that the horror incident on December 1, 2019 was an accident.

But the jury found him guilty of the murder of Mr Delgado and attempted murder of the Khans.

Judge Christine Laing QC told him he now faces life in prison.

The two groups went down the seafront attacking each other with belts from outside the Queens Hotel all the way to the Sea Life Centre.

Iftekhar Khondaker claimed he had been attacked and was bleeding.

But he was also shown on CCTV attacking Suel Delgado on the ground, kicking and punching him along with Irfan.

But the groups separated, and the Khondakers fled back to their parked car.

Everyone thought the incident was over.

But then, despite being over the drink drive limit, Khondaker saw the men crossing the road and accelerated into them.

He struck three of the men, causing devastating injuries.
