BRIDGERTON has taken the world by storm since it first aired on Netflix late last year.

Based on the best-selling novels by Julia Quinn, the show follows Daphne, a member of the Bridgerton family, as she traverses Regency London's "marriage market".

There are a couple of Sussex links scattered throughout the show, for those who look hard enough. Perhaps the most obvious is the male lead, played by Rege-Jean Page, whose title is the Duke of Hastings.

And the brother of protagonist Daphne, Colin Bridgerton, is played by Luke Newton from Shoreham.

But, with the series set in the early 1800s, the architecture can also be linked to Sussex.

At the same time as member of the fictional Bridgerton family were courting in the capital, George, Prince of Wales and later Prince Regent and King George IV, was developing Brighton's Royal Pavilion into the spectacle it is today.

Regency architecture continues to maintain a presence in Sussex in the 21 Century.

So, property website Zoopla set out to find the most popular properties for sale in the county which would not look out of place in Netflix's hit show.
