OFFICERS have seized a moped for riding antisocially twice in the last year.

Brighton and Hove Police issued section 59 reminders to the rider for his behaviour.

Writing on Twitter, the force said: "Vehicle seized for riding antisocially twice in the last 12 months.

"Section 59 warnings given! Keeping the roads safe!

"Remember to drive carefully and safely!"

It comes after Uber Eats reportedly sent a message to all Brighton and Hove delivery drivers warning them not to break road rules.

Delivery drivers said they received the message from the takeaway company following reports of rule-breaking on a city-centre street.

It followed residents' claims that hundreds of moped riders a week were using an illegal shortcut in Hampton Place while delivering food.
