A HOST of special events are due to take place at a popular city venue.

The Theatre Royal in Brighton is set to welcome five shows in January.

The performances will range from former West End musicals to sing-along films and tribute acts.

Direct from London’s West End, The Chicago Blues Brothers and their nine piece band are set to perform a new two-hour long show.

The “all singing, all dancing” performance will showcase the best movie anthems of all-time.

The show will feature songs from Footloose, A Star is Born, Dirty Dancing, The Greatest Showman, The Full Monty and more.

In its eighth year, the show will celebrate the songs of The Bee Gees.

From London’s West End, the show will feature lights, video and music.

The performance is a tribute.

January 8, (2pm and 7pm)

With lyrics on the screen, the audience will be able to sing-along with Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron.

A live host will teach a set of dance moves, show you how to use the interactive prop bags and get you to practice your cheers, your boos and wolf whistles.

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged and full audience participation essential.

Fronted by Patrick Myers (as Freddie Mercury), the group will perform the band’s classic anthems
