REPLACEMENT buses services will be in use for during a week of major railway disruptions.

Buses will replace late night trains between Brighton and Three Bridges from tonight through to Thursday.

The closure has been put in place to allow engineering work to take place, closing all lines.

Network Rail said the planned engineering works will help to maintain and improve the railway.

Thameslink services between Bedford and Brighton will be affected, as well as Southern services between London Victoria, Brighton and Eastbourne.

Southern trains will be replaced by buses between midnight and 5am on Tuesday and Thursday.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys through National Rail.
