Car boot sale season is very much back, with many organisers having returned to the swing of things in March.

After a long winter break businesses, sellers and buyers alike were able to spend a weekend taking a look through a wide variety of items seeing if they could spot any bargains.

Their popularity has certainly not waned and if were interested in attending one you might be curious for when the next meet-ups are scheduled across Sussex.

For a huge amount of bargains to find, here are some of the places you can find a car boot sale in Sussex from April and throughout 2022.

Where are car boot sales in Sussex?

Brighton Racecourse

Open every Sunday, sellers require £10 for a pitch and can come set up from 7.30am.

Meanwhile, buyers can come from 8.30am, although will need £2.50 for an entry fee, which is reduced to 80p if they come after 10.30am.

There are toilet facilities on site with hot and cold food and drinks available as well.

Chichester Market

The Chichester Market car boot sale is now open every Sunday at the Cattlemarket Car Paek on Market Road.

It costs £10 for a pitch with sellers allowed access from 7.30am before buyers come in at 10.30am.

Halland

This car boot sale on Eastbourne Road in Lewes has not got back underway yet, but is expected it will start on Saturday, May 7.

For pitches it costs £8 for cars, £10 for cars with a trailer and £12 for vans.

Sellers can set up from 8.30am before buyers gain access at 8.45am.

Hunston

Another car boot sale near Chichester can be found every Saturday on Hunston Road.

Sellers can come in from 7am, with buyers allowed access at 7.30am.

Pitches cost £10 for cars, £11 for small vans and £12 for transit vans.

Faygate

Faygate car boot sale over in Horsham won't be back up and running until May as they are waiting for their usual field to dry out.

Once it starts it will be open every Saturday from 8am to 1pm, with sellers being allowed to set up an hour beforehand.

It takes place near the A264 Horsham roundabout, Tower Road, RH12 4SD.

Ford Airfield Market

This car boot sale can be found in Arundel, which runs on a Thursday and Saturday from 7.30am, as well as 8.30am on Sundays.

Sellers can come in from 7.30am (Thursday and Saturday) or 8.30am (Sunday) with buyers recommended to come from 9am onwards.

Rusper

Located on the Sussex border at Cophatch Farm, the Rusper car boot sale will be back up and running this weekend.

Its first one of the season will take place on Sunday, April 17 and Monday, April 18.

Pitches are allocated on a first come first served basis, with it costing £12 for cars, £15 for small vans and £18 for medium vans.

Sellers can come set up from 10am, with buyers getting access at 11am.

Shoreham Flyover

Located over on Steyning Road, this car boot sale will be back in May, with it likely to run until October later in the year.

A date for its return has not been posted on their Facebook page or website yet.

The cost of pitches is £10 for cars and £12 for vans, with seller being allowed to set up from 7am and buyers allowed access from 8am.

The Whale Car Boot Sale

Located at the Willingdon Community School in Eastbourne this event is currently not running but may be back soon.

Sellers can set up from 10am, with it costing £9 for a pitch with a car and £11 for a van.

It is free entry and buyers can come in from 12pm with it all closing up at 3pm.
