LOVE ISLAND fans have been reacting to the lineup for the upcoming new series - including Brighton fishmonger Luca Bish.

The 23-year-old from Brighton is set to enter the show’s villa in Mallorca as part of the show’s main cast of contestants looking for love.

However, people on social media all raised an eyebrow at his choice of tattoos.

Many fans of the show drew comparisons between his inkwork and that of former One Direction star Harry Styles.

“He said to his tattoo artist ‘I’ll have what he’s having’,” one fan said on Twitter.

Another compared the contestant to Mason Mount with Harry Style tattoos.

Some even mistakenly thought that Luca has a tattoo of himself on his left arm - with others quick to point out it is actually of Elvis Presley - the ‘King of Rock’.

Others were also quick to recognise Luca as the ex-partner of YouTuber Sophie Floyd.

The 22-year-old boasts more than 250,000 subscribers on her channel, where she reviews different makeup brands.

Meanwhile, former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer expressed her excitement at the announcement that Luca will be heading into the villa and said on Instagram: "You’ll smash it so beautiful, kind & funny."

Luca, who is hoping to be this year’s prize catch, said he applied for the show after coming out of a long-term relationship.

He said: “When you look actually look back at Love Island, you can see how many couples it’s genuinely made. I don’t know how many kids Love Island has made but there are a few aren’t there?

“I came out of a four-year relationship about a year ago. I was enjoying being in a relationship, there were just things I didn’t like, and we drifted apart.”

Luca said he prefers to meet girls out and about, but feels it can come across as “too desperate” if you go out looking to find a partner.

He said: “I prefer to meet girls out and about. I think when you go looking for it, it’s not as easy though, it’s like you’re too desperate for it.

“If I think you’re the one or I like you, I’ll take you out on a date but other than that, if we talk and I don’t like where it’s going - then I won’t be throwing out dates.”

The eighth series of the ITV show returns to screens next Monday at 9pm.
