A MAN has been taken to hospital after being found unconscious by police following an assault.
Police are now investigating the incident which happened in Brighton on Thursday morning between 1.10am and 1.20am.
Officers on patrol in East Street found a man who had been knocked unconscious, he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The altercation is understood to have happened near the junction with Kings Road.
Detectives are looking to identify a man in connection with the incident. He is white, in his 20s, and wearing a gold tracksuit with a stripe down the side.
Anybody who has any information which could help with the investigation is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 064 of 22/09.
