A viral diner offering “the worst service in Europe” is travelling the UK and is coming to the city for a second time.

After gaining fame on social media with its unique approach to customer service, Karen’s Diner went on tour.

The diner will be a pop-up at Revolution in West Street, Brighton, on June 18 after a successful visit there on March 19.

It guarantees the worst service in Europe but says its New York-style food is great.

The name Karen's Diner is based on the use of the name Karen as a pejorative term for a woman perceived as entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal.

The term is often used for women who use their privilege to demand their own way.

Ryan Blackburn, managing director of Karen's On Tour, said he chose Brighton because “the people of Brighton love everything Karen’s, so the people asked, and we delivered".

“Don't expect special treatment as it is all about Karen," he said. "She won't be taking any nonsense.

"All will be able to have fun and wind the staff up to unleash their inner Karen."

The experience promises “great food but awful service” and Karen’s has given some advice to brave customers.

It launched in Sydney, Australia, in 2021 and has amassed over 1.8 billion TikTok views, and millions more views on videos of its staff in action.

Diners have since opened up across the UK, in Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham and Newport.

On whether children are allowed in the diner, Karen’s said: “We hate to see the selfish little stink-asses coming through the doors, but yes, they're allowed.

“Preferably before 5pm and keep them under control.

“If one starts screeching, manage the noise or leave. Oh, and if you're worried about us being nice to them you're probably better off staying home.”

The venue, giving the promised awful service, reluctantly caters for dietary requirements.

Booking is essential, and there is no group discount available.

“Obviously you need to book. We don't offer group discounts (who do you think you are) so just make your booking online like everyone else,” said a spokeswoman for the diner.
