An inquest has been pushed back ahead of the trial of a fisherman charged in connection with the death of a motorcyclist.
Daniel Kinsella, from Brighton, died at the Royal Sussex County Hospital following a crash on the A259 in Portslade on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
Despite efforts from passers-by who performed CPR, the 25-year-old died from his injuries two days later.
An inquest was opened on September 21, 2022 and scheduled to take place on March 21.
However, it has now been adjourned until September 7 due to ongoing criminal proceedings.
James Merrix, of Southwick, is accused of causing death by driving without due care or consideration, while over the specified limit for a controlled drug (namely cannabis).
The 35-year-old’s trial will begin on June 5.
