Nurses have abseiled down an 180ft tall castle tower to raise money for a hospice charity.
Hospice nurses from St Barnabas House in Worthing scaled the Bake House Tower at Arundel Castle to raise money for the charity which provides end of life care.
The 14 nurses took on the challenge to raise money and awareness of the charity’s work, adding they felt lucky to be able to scale the tower.
Cassie Yandell, one of the nurses who completed the abseil, said: “In this job you really appreciate how short life is.
“That takes the fear out of a lot of things, because you realise how lucky you are to have the option of doing it. We look after people of all ages, and it just shows you that you’ve got to grab life with both hands.”
The abseil, which took place on March 25 and 26, saw the nurses taking to the tower to raise funds of the hospice and raise awareness of the charity’s work.

Cassie added: “Life is there to be grabbed. It's there to be lived as best and completely as you can.”
The abseil raised nearly £100,000 for St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House, a children's hospice.
