Five fire engines attended a blaze at a house.
Crews from East Sussex Fire and Rescue tackled the fire in Woburn Way, Eastbourne, at around 11.10pm last night.
Sussex Police also attended and set up a cordon.
The top window of the house appeared to be burnt out.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: At 11.07pm on Saturday we were called to a house fire on Woburn Way, Eastbourne.

“Two appliances from Eastbourne, two from Hastings and one from Barcombe used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"No casualties were reported.”
