A festival will showcase campervans and celebrate the great outdoors.

Campervan Campout comes to the South of England Showground at Ardingly at the weekend and will display a range of new and pre-loved vehicles.

As well as the vans, there will be a shopping village made up of outdoor leisure retailers, artisan food and drink stands, local breweries and street food vendors from across the UK.

There will be talks from guest speakers about the dos and don’ts when buying a campervan, European travel ideas and more.

Other topics will be solo female travelling and earning money while on the road, which will be discussed by guest bloggers and podcast hosts.

Live music will begin on the main stage from 11am each morning with performances from bands and solo artists throughout the weekend including Chasing Mumford, Stereosonics and Onside Brit Pop.

Saturday night will see DJ Craig Charles headline with a set from 9pm.

There will also be a “wellness sanctuary” where there will be breath workshops, yoga classes, foraging lessons and mental health workshops.

A spokeswoman for the festival said: “The wellness sanctuary will be perfect space to unwind. With a silent disco each evening too, there really is something for everyone, big and small.”

The festival will have a designated children’s zone run by the Camping and Caravanning Club where youngsters can try archery, axe throwing and a bird of prey experience.
