Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a flat which broke out earlier today.
Emergency services from East and West Sussex are currently dealing with the fire in Edwin Street in Burgess Hill, with multiple engines understood to be at the scene.
Both East and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are tackling the incident, with all people reportedly accounted for.
A dog and a cat have also been saved according to West Sussex Fire and Rescue service.

A fire service spokesman added: “Please avoid the area and keep your doors and windows shut if nearby.”
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was also approached for comment.
