The RNLI has issued a warning after two kayakers were rescued off the Sussex coast.
The pair got into difficulty and called for help inside Shoreham harbour yesterday afternoon as temperatures soared.
Crews from the Shoreham Lifeboat were called to the scene, where the kayakers were being pushed up against the harbour wall by the wind.
The duo were rescued by RNLI volunteers and returned to the lifeboat station to warm up.

A spokesman for Shoreham Lifeboat said: “Please check the sea and weather conditions before venturing out onto the water.
“If in doubt, don’t go out.”
The warning comes after the RNLI previously urged those heading to the beach to enjoy the summer sun not to use inflatables due to the risk of being caught in the tide.
